Position Overview
Section titled “Position Overview”We are hiring a Backend Software Engineer to design and build services that power our applications. This role is responsible for building maintainable APIs, improving system performance, and shipping production ready code with strong quality and observability practices.
Key Responsibilities
Section titled “Key Responsibilities”- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs that are secure, scalable, and easy to evolve.
- Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver end to end product features.
- Optimize service performance, reliability, and cost through profiling, monitoring, and thoughtful architecture changes.
- Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to maintain high engineering quality.
- Debug production issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to incident response when needed.
- Improve developer workflows, documentation, and standards for backend development.
Qualifications
Section titled “Qualifications”- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years building backend systems in at least one modern language such as Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript.
- Experience with relational and or NoSQL databases, caching, and asynchronous processing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with cross functional teams.
